Data Use and Aggregated Insights Statement

1. The short version

ChamberWise uses your account, gameplay and learning activity to run the app, show leaderboards, improve the product and understand how people engage with UK politics.

We may also use gameplay activity to create aggregated, non-identifying insights.

We do not sell your personal account data.

2. What activity data means

Activity data may include things like:

• which MPs users select for their cabinet or squad
• captain choices
• transfers or changes
• league activity
• XP and streak activity
• minigame answers and scores
• learning progress
• interactions with MP profiles, news, lessons or quizzes
• broad engagement trends across the product

3. Why this data is useful

ChamberWise is designed to make UK politics easier to understand and more engaging.

Activity data helps us:

• operate the game
• calculate scores and rankings
• maintain league tables
• improve lessons, quizzes and minigames
• understand which features are useful
• identify bugs or confusing journeys
• develop new features
• understand broad patterns in political interest and engagement

4. Aggregated insights

We may combine user activity into aggregated insights.

For example, we may look at trends such as:

• which MPs are being selected more often
• which parties or roles are rising or falling in popularity
• which parliamentary events drive user interest
• how user behaviour changes over time
• how groups of users respond to political developments

These insights are designed to describe groups and trends, not individual users.

5. H.A.P.I.D. and commercial insight products

ChamberWise may develop aggregated political insight products, including H.A.P.I.D., based on non-identifying patterns in user activity.

These products may be shared with or sold to organisations such as:

• media organisations
• research organisations
• political risk firms
• consultancies
• other organisations interested in broad political engagement trends

We will not sell your personal account details as part of these products.

6. What we do not share as part of aggregated insights

Aggregated insight products should not include:

• your email address
• your password
• your full name, unless you have made it public in the app
• your private account credentials
• your individual browsing history
• your individual learning record
• your individual minigame answers linked to your identity
• your individual cabinet or squad history linked to your identity

7. Public gameplay information

Some information may be visible to other users as part of normal gameplay.

Depending on the feature, this may include:

• display name
• avatar
• XP
• rank
• league membership
• scores
• public leaderboard position
• private league standings

You should not use a display name or avatar that reveals information you do not want other users to see.

8. Political neutrality

ChamberWise does not treat gameplay choices as proof of a user's political beliefs.

Picking an MP, answering a quiz, joining a league or reading an article does not necessarily mean you support a party, MP, policy or viewpoint.

Aggregated insights should be interpreted as engagement signals, not as definitive statements of individual political opinion.
